Confirmed News: What the iPhone Doesn't Have

It's been confirmed by several reviews of on hand iPhones that the below list of features that iPhone won't have:

  • Songs as Ringtones

  • Games

  • Any flash support

  • Instant Messaging

  • Picture messages (MMS)

  • Video recording

  • Voice recognition or voice dialing

  • Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Streaming (A2DP)

  • One-size-fits-all headset jack (May have to buy an adapter for certain headphones)

  • 3G (EV-DO/HSDPA)

  • GPS

  • A real keyboard

  • Removable battery

  • Expandable Storage

  • Direct iTunes Music Store Access (Over Wi-Fi or EDGE)

So much for the all mighty iPhone, if Apple won't include some of the above features, there is no way on earth I'm going to buy one. I mean, look at the list, I've seen cheap mobiles for like 30BHD that support MMS and MP3 as ringtones.

And what makes it worse, there is no SDK -beside Safari's SDK- that will allow 3rd party developers to create any of the above. GPS maybe by putting a plug in GPS device and use Safari to navigate, but still.

I'm really disappointed and sad to read the above list...I guess when Steve Jobs said "we will revolutionize the mobile" he really meant it. But at the end, Apple fan boys will make it successful, even if the phone doesn't have a screen ;)

Yup, it lacks a LOT of standard features, but if you know the mobile networks in the US, you'll know why. They are not GSM, and features are very much network provider dependent. iPhone have exclusive network coverage with AT&T, which is not the best.
So maybe some things will get fixed for the GSM models of iPhone.
